A prominent Tucson area ophthalmologist will present the August wellness lecture at the Arizona Senior Academy Wednesday (Aug. 26) on the subject “Aging and Your Eyes.” The lecture begins at 3:30 p.m. in the Great Room of the ASA Building.
Dr. Todd A Lefkowitz has resided in Arizona for 30 years and practices with Griswold Eye Care in Oro Valley. He specializes in cataract removal surgery and treats various eye conditions that may affect vision as one ages. He will describe these in his lecture and respond to questions from the audience.
A graduate of Queens College in New York City, Lefkowitz received his M.D. Degree from New York University and completed his ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. He served as a U.S. Air Force physician for four years.
Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1982, Dr. Lefkowitz is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He served as a physician member of the Arizona Medical Board from 2007 to 2010. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, he was a three-game “Jeopardy” champion in 1990. He speaks Spanish, French and German.
