This close-up photo of a rabbit, taken by Brack Brown, is one of the many pictures of local critters that will be shown on Sept. 27.

The Sonoran Desert and Rincon Valley are home to a great variety of wildlife that many residents of The Academy Village had not encountered before moving here.

Starting at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 27), some of those animals will be featured in a slide show in the Arizona Senior Academy’s Great Room.

The photographers will have an opportunity to comment on and explain the pictures they’ve taken.

Photos will be accepted through Sept. 13; submission should be made electronically (JPEG or PDF preferred) to mneugeb@arizonasenioracademy.org.
